Thank you for your prayers the last few months in the loss of my dad, Tom Roberson.  I was able to be there with he and mom in the hospital the last week of his life, along with all my siblings before he passed on July 7th.  We are thankful for those last few days together and though they were difficult, they are filled with some sweet memories, too.  Thank you for continuing to lift up my mom—that she would be comforted in her loss and as she makes plans to transition to be closer to Jennifer and I.

I ask for your prayers as I continue to recover from knee surgery nearly a month ago.  I tore my ACL in June playing basketball and wasn’t able to have surgery until August due to all the events of the summer.  As the fall schedule ramps up, I am asking for continued favor in the healing and therapy process.

As far as the ministry goes, it has been a season of personal growth for me.  I have learned so much in this last month about God’s design for me.  He is more concerned with my being than my doing.  It would be an understatement to say that the process was humbling, but God is faithful, and asks us to be the same.  Andy Chrisman, long-time Christian music legend (4HIM), states it this way, “God gives talents, but God rewards faithfulness.”

I am so thankful to all of you who continue to stay connected to me and my family.  I am thankful for the continued support in every form and fashion.  Continue to pray as the fall gears up, and as we seek to be all that God has called us to be.
